Paisley is SIX!!

I know this post is almost a month late, but we've had busy busy weekends lately.  So, let's get started!

We started Paisley's birthday off with presents and phone calls.

Paisley got to pick lunch and she, of course, picked McDonalds!  I don't have any pictures of lunch, but this is Paisley's hair after using the hair chalk Grams got her for her birthday.  The other picture is of Truett walking to lunch.  It is just too cute not to add in here.

Paisley's friends came over for an afternoon party.  We played "Pin the Bow on Barbie," made Barbie dresses, broke a pinata, opened presents, ate pizza, and watched a Barbie movie.  Such a fun day!

We made some "Barbie" dresses.  Barbie is in quotes because these were $2 imitation Barbies, but the girls didn't care!  A week or so before the party, Paisley and I went to the craft store to buy material, ribbon, beads, buttons, and any thing shiny we could find to decorate the Barbie dresses.

Look at this pinata that Michael made!  Not only was it so cute, but it was the toughest pinata to break.  After each of the kids had a couple of turns, the parents took a crack at it.  We all took a couple of turns, but no luck!  Michael ended up having to cut it open.

After the games, Paisley was excited to open the presents from her friends.

Since it was a Barbie themed party, we had to have a Barbie cake. When I told Paisley how I was going to make it, she really wanted to do it herself.  As a compromise, Michael came up with the brilliant idea to have Paisley decorate a small cupcake for a small Barbie.  I think it turned out adorable!

This last set of pictures just shows the table and the goodies we had.  And the railing at the front of the house where Paisley decorated with her Barbies.
