Girls' Weekend in Jakarta

How have I not blogged about this????  Last Christmas, Michael gave me (and Paisley) a weekend trip to Jakarta to see Disney on Ice.  We went the end of February/beginning of March, right when all this Covid mess was starting.  I'm glad we got there before the lockdowns!  Paisley and I had the best time!!

See ya' later, Yogya!

Grams calls Paisley "Sweet Pea," so we had to get a picture with the sweet pea candle!  Not sure about the picture with the flip flops???

Star Wars Lego pictures for Truett

This girl likes to pose!

We took a ride in a tuk-tuk one day.

Can you tell how much we love Auntie Anne's by the smile on her face??

Ice skating for the first time.  She LOVED it!

Adidas store picture for Daddy.

These pictures are from Disney on Ice.  Sorry they are awfully blurry!

We went to Ikea, but only got pictures of the food!  Needless to say, we liked the Swedish meatballs, but not the Indonesian noodles.

Oh, maybe this picture is from Ikea.  Paisley loved this blanket.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Headed back home to the boys!

First Day of School

The kids are back in school!  We started the year with in person school.  The kids are so glad to be back!  They were masks and face shields all day, except during snack time and lunch time.  They have to stay socially distanced, even during break time and PE.  They can only walk in certain directions around the entire building.  But, you know what?  They haven't complained a bit.

Truett is in Year 5 (4th grade) and Paisley is in Year 4 (3rd grade).  Last year they were in the same classroom, but this year they are in separate rooms.  Truett's teacher is from Australia.  Paisley's teacher . . . well, she doesn't technically have a teacher.  Because the country is closed, new teachers have not been able to get into the country.  So, many teachers from around the school take turns teaching her class.

I'm also teaching up there each morning.  I'm enjoying being back in the classroom, especially since I'm back to teaching math.  It's just part time, but it sure is taking up a lot of time (hence the reason there have been so few blog posts recently!).
