Photo Friday

Here are a few random pictures from the last few weeks.  Enjoy these cute faces!

Truett got in to my Vaseline.  He knows mommy puts it on her lips, so he did the same!

Say CHEESE

So, there are some things that are hard get in this country.  Good dairy products and Mexican food are two of the things we miss the most!  Well, I found out about this place that sells some things we like.  However, they sell in bulk, way to much for one person, or even one family!  Luckily, a friend and I shared some good stuff.  We bought some mozzarella cheese and tortillas (the cheddar cheese they had for sale had some mold on it, boy to I miss some good ol' cheddar!!!).  Since we bought in bulk, the cheese had to be cut up and frozen. The tortillas came in packs of 12, but you had to buy 40 packs at one time!  So, this is what is filling up our freezer these days . . .

Chef Yogi

Who loves to watch those reality cooking shows?  I know my mom does!  Anyone else?  What about MasterChef?  Every heard of that one?  MasterChef Indonesia?  Do you recognize this guy . . .

That's right, it's Chef Yogi from MasterChef Indonesia.  (Doesn't T look like he's in awe of him?)  Apparently, before the show, he was a dancer.  At least, that's what Wikipedia told me.  He didn't win, but he was in the top 10.  Not too shabby.  We ate dinner at his restaurant the other night.  It's in a cool little outdoor food court, with a great atmosphere, and the food was really good, too.  The kids had pizza, I had mac & cheese, and Michael had steak.  The steak was the best and most normal tasting steak we've had here.  The kids' pizza had a wonderful sauce and lots of vegetables.  My mac & cheese was delicious!  Good job, Chef Yogi!

Photo Shoot

Well, the internet has been out all week.  No fun!  And it prevented me from posting some amazing blog posts (okay, not amazing, but I couldn't post any).  So, today I give you some pictures of these adorable kids.

Photo Friday . . . has been postponed

I know, I know, you were looking forward to some precious pictures because it's Friday.  I'm sorry.  I need your help, though.  I will have an extra day of photos next week.  Maybe Photo Wednesday?  Anyway, here's the deal . . . we are making an A - Z Thankfulness book.  I'm trying to come up with a category for every letter of the alphabet and then letting the kids choose their favorite thing from that category.  I have categories for some letters, but I still have a few letters without categories.  I'll post my list at the bottom of this post.  If you have any grand ideas, please leave them in the comments section.

Here are two pictures from our first day.

Once all of the pages are finished (in 25 or so more days), we'll find somewhere in this city to bind them in to a book.  Maybe this will become a yearly tradition.

Here's my list.  Please give any ideas for categories that you have, even if I already have a word for that letter.  I may like your idea better!

Fun at the Airport

These kids are so helpful.  They're checking the flight schedules for us.  Thanks, kiddos!

And they're off . . . why walk when you can ride on a luggage cart.  It's usually a great ride, except when there's a quick stop and you fall off the front.  Oops!  The tears didn't last too long.

And then there was the ride on the bus between terminals.  We met this nice Indonesian lady that the kids really clicked with.  That was quite an accomplishment.  Most of the time, the kids shy away from Indonesians, mostly because they are usually pinched and petted by them.

And to top it off, there was a flight delay.  Never fear, we have airplane presents to hand out!  Paisley got a new baby doll and Truett got some crayons.  They both got this fun game, too, matching colors.  Keeps them busy!
