Our Life

Today it's just a bunch of pictures from our life.  I'll explain some, I'll just leave some with no explanation.  We'll start with Tru, then to Paisley, then to some of them together.

This one is a great one to start with.  He thought he was the coolest thing when he proudly showed me how he could put a coin in his nose!

The kids have really been in to origami lately.  They love to make these claws.

At the play place that has a dress up area.  Officer Quinlan to the rescue!

Sometimes I just don't ask questions.

Sooooo . . . he was eating his food off his plate like an animal.  I told him if he was going to eat like an animal, he was going to sit outside like an animal.  Parenting discipline fail, he loved it!

Can you get any cuter than this????? He loves to dress up on Sundays!

Some friends played in a futsal (indoor soccer) tournament, so we went a couple of days to cheer them on.

 What a cutie!

She insisted that her hair be put up in a little bun on top of her head.

Pais loves her dance teacher!

Paisley's best friend.  She comes home from school with us on Thursdays and we take her to ballet with us.

Our next door neighbor.  She and Paisley play so well together!

Paisley's class had a field trip one day.  After the trip, we took a couple of her friends home with us to play and go to ballet.  Look at their hair, you can tell it was a fun field trip!

The kids love making forts these days.  They make one on the bunk beds that has several rooms in it.  They play together so well while making the forts and it keeps them occupied for an hour or so!  This is one that Paisley made with our clothes drying rack.

The kids helped me make cakeballs with Truett's leftover birthday cake.

Painting toenails!

The nearby volcano has been erupting smoke and ash recently.  One day, the schools gave out masks (or "maskers" as they are called here) for all of the children to wear.

As we were out eating dinner after church with some friends one Sunday night, this guy came up as our dinner time entertainment.

Borobudur and Prambanan (and a wedding dress)

As always, when we have visitors from America, we take them to Borobudur (Buddhist temple) and Prambanan (Hindu temple).

We'll start with Borobudur.

We told Reed to wear shorts.  Whenever foreigners wear shorts to Borobudur, they give you a sarang (a large piece of fabric worn as a skirt).

Paisley was all smiles.

Truett was sad because he wanted to play tag.  It was way too hot to play tag.  But, of course, Michael and Reed played with him.

Family photo!

 All the girls.

We like having friends with us.

We were so very hot and tired!

 This place is pretty!

The kids bought some parachutes.  They didn't work like the vendors showed us, but the kids had fun running around with them.  I wish we had gotten pictures of Truett, too, he was loving it!

And now Prambanan.

My mom has my wedding dress hanging in a closet at her house.  Paisley found it one day and wanted to wear it.  She was adorable!
