Happy Thanksgiving!

We had another wonderful international Thanksgiving!  In fact, there were only 5 Americans in our almost 40 guests, but it was all American food.  This year, I had friends come over and help me prep all of the food on Wednesday.  Boy was that a help!!  I wish I had gotten a picture of a kitchen full of girls washing, cutting, and dicing all those vegetables, but I didn't.  It was a great time of fellowship and work, though.

Here is the fruit of our labor . . .

A porch full of shoes and a yard full of motorcycles means . . .

A house full of happy people!

And someone brought me flowers!

This year we invited some of the kids' good friends.

Obviously, the kids had a great time!

Another Temple

While the Parsleys were here, we also went to Prambanan, a huge Hindu temple.  I'll let you google that one, too.  The kids had a great time running around and going in the temples with Larry.

Part of the grounds has temples that have not yet been restored.  It's quite fascinating to see how they were originally found and then reassembled.  And, the kids loved running around in this area.

We had lunch at a place looking over the city.  Beautiful view and delicious food!

Then, we went to a silver shop.  We didn't get many pictures, but here are some of the guys making the jewelry.

Borobudur

Whenever we have guests from America, we take them to borobudur, the largest Buddhist temple in the world.  It really is quite impressive.  Google it!  So, here are some pics from our visit this summer.

Can you tell they're hot and tired?

Cute and crazy faces

Like always, people want to take pictures with our kids

What do you do when you are hot and tired?  Eat ice cream, of course!

And play a game of tag

So, I made this post a while back (probably 3 months ago), but never posted it.  Since that time, we have had more visitors from the States and another trip to Borobudur.  This time, the kids and I didn't go, but Michael took our friends the Parsleys.  Here are some pictures from their trip.

I think these pictures are my favorites of the bunch!  If guys wear shorts,
they give them these to be more respectful of the temple.
