Truett's Class Farewell Party

If you remember from last year, Truett's class had an end of year party, but Paisley's didn't.  Same thing this year.  Truett's class just seems to be full of over active moms who love to plan parties!  So, we dressed up in our batik (traditional fabric) clothes and headed to a fancy hotel for a party.  We had a great time, and the kids even got to swim at the end.

These are some of Truett's good friends.

Although Truett is holding this girl's hand, I'm not sure he even knows her.  I'm pretty sure she is in the other class (it was a combination party for two classes)

Some of the moms

The photographer captured these two great pictures of Paisley.  Such joy!  She was playing with her good friend from her class, who happens to have a sister in Truett's class.

And this one of our crazy Tru playing with a napkin.

The kids gave their teachers flowers.

And then performed some songs for us.

The teachers gave a hug and a gift to each child. I am pretty sure the other parents brought the gifts for the teachers to hand out.  One of the hard things about not being able to communicate with most of the moms in my kids' classes is that I feel like I don't always know what's going on and don't get to help as much as I would like.

And we had a LONG photo shoot of the moms, of the kids, of the moms with the kids, of the moms from just one class, of the kids from just one class, and on and on!!

Oops, here are a few more of the performance.

Paisley's Graduation

Paisley had her preschool graduation last weekend, preschool graduation.  She moves on to kindergarten next year (yes, it's a year early by American standards.  It's a two year, half day, program).  Her graduation theme was about entrepreneurs and occupations.  Paisley's class dressed up as musicians and she was the cutest rocker on the stage!  So, first you'll get some pictures of her graduating and then some of her rockin' it out!

The two last girls on the right (the long haired kid between them is a boy) are Paisley's best friends in class.

And the real fun begins . . .

Her paisley jacket (although some Indonesian and Australian friends thought it was a whale!!)

Unfortunately, these are the best pictures I got of her in her costume that night.

Ohhhh, but look what I found on my camera.  Much better picture.

This is one of her best friends (who also happens to be some sort of royalty in this city)

Some little boy who happens to think that Paisley is his girlfriend.

There was a dress code at her graduation, Spring Garden Party.  So, we all had to find some springy type things to wear (well, the boys already had them, I had to do a little shopping).  However, Paisley was dressed in her rocker costume.  I told her to look angry in this picture.  It made me picture what life will be like if she decides to rebel in her teen years.

Some preschool karaoke.

And, we're back to the graduation pictures.  Not sure what happened, but at this point I'm too lazy to go back and put them in order.
Paisley loved this part of the graduation because the smoke machine turned on.  She thought it was so funny that she couldn't see her teachers showing her the dance moves.  It was funny!

This is one of Paisley's good friends from her class last year (luckily, they're in ballet class together this year).  Her class's occupation was "Mexican banana farmer."  HUH???
