Corona Life

So, I realize it's been two months since I put anything on this blog.  Guess I've been busy!!  So, here's an update.

My brother and Jennifer came to visit the middle of February.  They planned on coming on February 12, but they had been in Singapore for a week and decided to come on here on the 10th because of Corona scares.  We had a great time!  More pictures in another post.
A few weeks later, the whole family spent a week in Sumba, helping to install solar panels in churches and work with the children.  We love it when we get to go on trips like this!  Pictures to come.
We got back on a Friday and left Saturday morning to take the young adults from our church on a retreat.  We got back on Sunday and that's when our life went in to lockdown.
The first two weeks of lockdown, the kids had distance learning and it was pretty bad, unorganized and just frustrating.  The next two weeks, they had a planned school break, and then we have just started back to distance learning.  It is so much better this time around!
So, during this time, I have tried to find lots of fun things for us to do.  Here are some pictures.

To begin with, we decided to cut and dye Paisley's hair.  Pretty cute, huh?

How do you play cards with family on the other side of the world?  Easy, attach a tripod to the top of your bicycle helmet!

Playing in the rain!

Balloon fight!

We saw so many people doing this, we had to join in the fun.

We pulled out the jacks.  Momma won!

The perler beads were a hit. Look at Truett do the "Asian squat."

Aren't they cute?!?!?

Easter Rice Krispie nests (Thanks, Grams!)

Easter eggs.  We have brown eggs here, so I didn't think they would dye very well.  I usually look around town and try to find white ones.  Well, this year I wasn't going around town, so we used the brown ones.  They worked great!

Paisley decided to make her own mask.  She loves to sew and make crafts.

We have gone on LOTS of walks/scavenger hunts through the neighborhood.  There are only pictures of Paisley here because I was on her team.  Each one was so hot, but we had lots of fun. These are some of the pictures from our photo scavenger hunts . . .
