Anniversary Sunday

Our church in Yogya celebrated its 17th anniversary a few months ago.  A friend of mine did the flower arrangement.  She's also helping us get some furniture for our house.  The food tray is typical of an Indonesian celebration.

The kids were invited up first to get some food.  They would normally be quite shy in circumstances like this.  However, since there was food involved, they were excited to be a part of it!   The other little girl is Claudia.  They love to run around together after (and during) the church service.

It was a nice celebration.  We have not really been feeling a part of this church family, but this evening celebration brought us a bit more together.   It was interesting to hear the story of the founding of the church.
