Faces

The other morning, I took the kids out to breakfast.  To keep them entertained, I came up with a game.  I gave each kid three emotions to emulate.  I took pictures and then the other kid looked at the pictures and had to guess the emotion.  I wish I had the emotions to match each face, but maybe you an guess.

When we first arrived back in America (almost 1 year ago) we had a few days to spend in California.  It was a good time for our family to adjust a bit back to America before we got back to Texas.

We got to stay in a wonderful little house while we were there.  The brother-in-law of one of my very best friends lives in L.A. with his family.  However, they were out of town the few days we were there.  They graciously let us live in their house (and their parents picked us up from the airport).  It was wonderful and only a short drive to the beach!  Lucky for the kids, this family had a couple of kids of their own.  That meant a whole new batch of toys to play with and books to read.

One of Michael's aunts lives in L.A., too.  She took us to a museum the next day.

Outside of the museum was a beautiful rose garden.  We went around picking out our favorite roses for each other.

The kids' favorite thing when we first got back was water fountains.  Oh how fun it is to drink out of a water fountain!

The family of the house we were staying in had little scooters.  The kids loved riding them down by the beach.

 More water fountains!

Isn't this the greatest van?!?  This is the family's van that we got to cruise around in while we were in town.  How thankful we are for everyone this family!
