Truett's 4th Birthday

Truett's birthday was Saturday, but we celebrated today.  It was a great day of celebration!  It started with an early morning Skype call from friends and family in Texas.  Truett's virtual birthday party was a success!  We had blueberry muffins instead of cake, but he still got to blow out a candle.

We all dressed in super hero costumes.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of my family.  You can see Tru and Pais are dressed in their matching Batman and Robin costumes.
Super Nana
Super Singer
Bat GiGi
All of the Super Wilkins Girls
Super Grams' mask
Spidey Boy
Spidey Girl
He also got to celebrate at his school.  As I have mentioned previously, this can be quite a big shindig.  I'll start with some pictures of what we made for his party.

Here are the cupcake toppers and the final product.
The Batman cookies with the tags for the cookie bags.
 Goodie bags with Batman balloons.
Super hero capes (the picture doesn't do them justice) and their masks.

Here are pictures from his school party.  Paisley got to come over to his class for it.  She was so excited!  The students were lined up with a table and chairs for our family set up front.  We handed out the capes and masks (one kid refused both!).  Then his friends sang "Happy Birthday."  Also a couple of groups of students got up to sing to him.  It was cute and funny!  We handed out the cupcakes (same kid refused one of these, too.  What kid refuses a cupcake!!)  The kids had a little bit of trouble eating the cupcakes.  The mostly just licked the icing off the top.  The teachers wrapped the cupcakes up in bags and sent them on home.

Stay tuned for a blog about our beach trip this past weekend.  We had a great time and Truett had a WONDERFUL day on his birthday.
