Christmas 2018

This was a good Christmas!

We had some fun finding Christmas out and about.

For the four Saturdays before Christmas, we invited our young adult Bible study group over for "Christmas Saturdays."  The first week we painted Christmas canvases.  The second Saturday we sewed Christmas embroidery.  The third week, we decorated Christmas cookies.  The last Saturday we sang Christmas carols and played Christmas games.

So, yes, I know that the one on the right is not Christmas, but Truett did it . . . without a pattern.  He's been drawing this cartoon character a lot recently, so he just stitched it up freehanded.  I was impressed!

We have a great group of young adults!

Christmas decorating is always fun!  We invited our neighbor over to help.

On Christmas Eve, we went to some friends' house for dinner and gifts.  While we were there, a group from their church came to do Christmas carols.  About 50 people showed up on motorcycles with guitars, drums, a microphone, and a speaker.

Christmas morning was fun!  We opened presents, called family in America, and had a nice lunch.  In the afternoon, we invited the young adults from our church over.  Many of them don't have family in town and did not have anything to do on Christmas day.  We spent the afternoon and evening playing games and eating.  Good times!

We didn't get too many pictures of Michael this Christmas.  Here's one of him trying on his new sunglasses from Paisley.

And this oh-so-tasty Christmas breakfast made by Michael biscuit with bacon, sausage, eggs and hashbrown. Well, Michael made the biscuit and bacon, the rest was delivered from McDonalds!!
