School Festival

The kids' school had a big festival, lots of performances, competitions, things for sale.  Really, though, the purpose of it was to showcase the school as it opens up a new high school.  The facilities really are quite impressive!
All of the classes at the school did class performances.  Then, there were singing competitions, speech competitions, dance competitions, spelling bees, and uniform design competitions.  Truett opted not to take part in any of those, but Paisley is all about the dancing!  So, eight little girls got all cuted up and did some K-pop!  They were up against kids up through sixth grade, so there was no way they would win, but they sure looked cute and had fun!

Truett's class did a dance to some traditional songs.  He and some of his friends are not really in to dancing.  So, they got to play the game that goes along with the song.  Unfortunately, they were sitting down to play the game so I did not get good pictures.

Paisley's class opted not to go with traditional songs.  Her group sang "Best Friends Forever."  This girl loves to sing and dance!
Look at her smile in these pictures.  She's always sticking out her tongue and twisting it around.  Crazy girl!

The kids had some fans in the crowd!

Here are some pictures of other kids in Truett's class.  The all dressed in traditional costumes from different parts of Indonesia.
