Karimunjawa

A few weeks ago, we took the young adults from our church on a trip to Karimujawa.  We took a 7 hour bus ride beginning at 1 o'clock in the morning, a 2 hour boat ride, and then a short drive to the beach.  We had a great time!  We snorkeled, played on the beach, played games, and ate together.  Such a good time!

Hari Ibu Kartini 2019

Ibu Kartini was a pioneer in the area of education for girls and women's rights for Indonesians.  Each year many schools celebrate her life.  This year, the kids' school had a performance on the front steps.  Children dressed up in traditional clothes from their tribe.  Paisley was dressed as a beautiful Javanese, Truett just opted to ear a batik shirt.

 

 This is one of Paisley's best friends,  She had a great smile while she performed.

Paisley Sings

One day after school, as Michael was picking up the kids, some administrators walked outside and asked if Paisley would like to sing at an upcoming event.  We didn't know exactly what it was, but Paisley wanted to, so we agreed.  She sang "A Dream is a Wish" from Cinderella.  She sang it in English and Indonesian.  She was adorable!
