I know I'm a day late on posting this Photo Friday. This is the reason why . . .
Last night, I made almost 50 little triangle sandwiches for their Science Fun Fest at school. We didn't take too many pictures from the Fun Fest, but I'll put those up next week.
Here are a few pictures from the Chinese New Year celebration at the kids' school. I've got to figure out how to take clear pictures!!
This is Paisley's good friend Miyuki. She is Indonesian, but she was born in Japan, hence the Japanese name.
Yep, I think that face sums up how Truett feels about school!
Photo session with the one and only Truett.
As much as Paisley likes to have her picture taken, she wasn't in to it this time.
This little girl thought it would be fun to put her McDonald's happy meal box on her head.
They both got a kick out of it!
We had a leak in a pipe the other day and this was the result. The workers got hammers and beat a hole out of our wall. They glued the pipe back up, put bricks and cement back up, and painted over it. They were great, though. They taped up a little plastic room and cleaned up afterwards.
That was pretty nice, because it was m e s s y ! ! !
Meet Mitch. I think he is the only reason we can convince Truett to go to school each day (and that is HARD to do!). We met them at the mall one afternoon to watch a movie and do a little shopping afterwards. I think Paisley has a crush on Mitch. She loved holding his hand and later told us, "my like go mall with Mitch!"
We also went to a park with them after Sunday School last week. It started raining before they got to do too much, but they did have a good time blowing bubbles. Now, Yogya does not have many outdoor parks. In fact, this is only the second one we've ever seen, and it's about half an hour away. But, it's up the mountain, so it's cool (both temperature and neatness factor). We will definitely be back. Next time, we'll take pictures of all of the fun stuff to do.
Special ice cream treat after school one day. Paisley was sick and Truett had to go to his after school care by himself (while I finished up teaching). He deserved a little treat.
Our first family bacuk (rickshaw) ride. We parked at one end of the block and I didn't feel like carrying Paisley all the way to the other end, so we jumped on a bacuk. The kids loved it!
Who needs a rocking horse? We've got huge water bottles!
Truett and I had a silly photo session together. He loves making silly faces for the camera.
This is how our ink for the printer works. We took it to this shop and they connected some ink containers to the outside of it. It's supposed to be cheaper and last longer. However, much to Michael's disdain, this one isn't working so well.
