After school parties are no small thing here. Because this is Ramadan, most of the families here are fasting from sun up to sun down. In the evenings, they have a big meal. So, for Truett's class party, we all broke the fast together at a hotel in town.
This was my view for much of my evening . . . alone
Second grade teachers
Paisley's party was in a hotel ballroom. There were presents, songs, dances, games, and food. It was great!

Paisley's class
There was a gift exchange at her party. She got Elmo slippers!
Her best friend, Sofia
The classes sang and danced.
My girl!
Paisley's good friend in her class, Jocelyn.
The teachers even danced!
A friend in Paisley's class is moving, so they had a farewell party for her. They were very nice and included Paisley since she is changing schools.
All the kids
And the mommies
And then all the mommies wanted pictures. I am not including all of them!
And then the mommies again!
This mom right here has taught me how to be a good friend. It is often hard for me at gatherings. Other moms are often intimidated to talk to me and I am often shy to talk to them. But this mom always talks to me and always makes sure I am included. I am so thankful for her!
